rosacea, bad skin, skin careIf you’ve been searching for a magic formula to clear your skin from its redness, you won’t find it here. However, you will discover that, with diligence and persistence, you can reduce the rosacea redness on your face to such a degree that it becomes totally unnoticeable. For some, this is considered a cure, but that is up to the individual to determine. It’s important to note that, although rosacea is not necessarily a curable skin condition, there are methods of treating rosacea that have caused many to believe otherwise.

In order to take your rosacea skin care seriously, you must not simply jump from one treatment option to another. You must approach this more scientifically, which means patience is required. Understandably, patience is the last thing you want to hear about when your face is bright red and your day is ruined. When you just want the redness to go away, you aren’t going to be very open to any sort of longterm solution to anything. Trust me, I’ve been there. All you want is something that makes the redness go away. However, we need to approach this from a very different angle. Instead of trying to get the redness to go away, we need to make sure that it never appears in the first place. Yes, I said NEVER.

My method of dealing with rosacea has little to do with avoiding the typical list of hot and spicy foods and overly stressful situations. These are indeed some of the triggers, but we are aiming to do more than deal with triggers. We aim to dispose of the entire gun! Please take note: This method takes faith. I have nothing to offer here to increase your faith except an appeal to personal experience. If my approach does not sound reasonable to you, then you will likely never take my advice. If you are willing to have faith and try something new, you may be rewarded with a clear face beyond what you ever hoped for.

I love spicy Mexican foods. I confess Green chile as an addiction. I love eating anything with green chile, but I also enjoy adding cayenne pepper to many of my dishes. When I would suffer from rosacea, my skin would inevitably flare up after enjoying my favorite meals. It was just a fact of life I learned to accept.

Another addiction I have is coffee. Coffee was one of the worst things for my rosacea skin. Not long after enjoying a mug, my face would become a little bit itchy. I’d scratch it VERY lightly until I’d realize that it was basically the beginning of a new rosacea flareup. You know how it goes. I’d enjoy the coffee, but always pay the price.

Finally, I loved being in the sunshine, but the inevitable streak of red across my face and the ensuing questions from others about what they determined was a sunburn was a total pain in the butt. To more efficiently deal with this social situation, I would just say, “Yeah, I had too much sun yesterday,” and leave it at that.

Why am I sharing these experiences? Because I want to let you know that I’ve been there. I want you to take me seriously. If you don’t, you will never have faith in my method of clearing rosacea. (And no, I’m not selling a book with some lame list of things to avoid.)

Rosacea Skin Care Remedy

First, you must cleanse and heal your liver. Do a search on Google for liver cleanses. Again, I’m not selling you anything, so I’m not going to post a link here, but Dr. Clark’s liver cleanse (which is free) was the one that I used several times. It may not be liver stones coming out when you do it, but I can attest to the benefits of doing such a cleanse. If you want to know why cleansing the liver is important, read this other post I wrote. In addition to cleansing your liver, supporting it with the supplement Milk Thistle is also important.

Second, you need to begin taking L-Lysine amino acid which is one of the cheapest and most readily available supplements ever. You can find it at your local pharmacy or grocery store. It’s easy to buy and there is no shame in buying it. L-Lysine is just a typical supplement that many people use for various reasons. It strengthens the skin. When your skin is stronger, it’s less prone to breaking down… in other words, it makes your skin more flare-up resistant. L-Lysine is perfectly safe.

Finally, there are cleansers and skin care ointments you can use to help keep your redness to a minimum. Many have attested to Zenmed as the best natural cleansing system for rosacea skin. Personally, I have tried the rosacea skin care products from Zenmed and can say that they do work to reduce the redness immediately. The only problem I had with Zenmed is that, although it works to reduce the redness, it is not a cure or permanent solution. It will not keep you from getting another flareup if you stop using it. It may reduce the symptoms and may help keep your skin from appearing red, but it WILL NOT cure your rosacea. However, I do highly recommend it because it does reduce redness and is completely all-natural. Read more about Zenmed here.

Ultimately, in order to slay the Red Dragon of Rosacea, you cannot simply rely on some lotion or soap. You need to do an internal cleansing of your body, primarily your liver. You also need to strengthen the surface of your skin through the use of the supplement called L-Lysine. Once you have cleansed your liver (which could take at least a month) and you’ve strengthened your skin, it’s likely that you will never again need to worry about avoiding certain foods or situations.

I know this sounds too good to be true, so I’m assuming most people will read this article and just click away. However, there may be one person who suffered as much as I did with rosacea who might take a chance and do what I suggest. For the past 6 years, I have been able to eat the spiciest food and drink as much coffee as I want with no flareups whatsoever. The only thing that has ever caused me a flareup in 6 years is some rare soap that my sister brought me from New York from an Indian spice shop. I must have been allergic to it. Other than that one instance, my face has been clear.

If you don’t want to follow my suggestions, at least read what others have to say about Zenmed Rosacea Redness Reducer.
